Marian Newman - Founder, Actor, Director

Marian has been involved in theatre in one capacity or another for 45 years. She graduated with a BA degree in Theatre Studies and was employed by the Gateway Theatre for several years. Having been involved with local theatre companies for 20 years, she was very excited to help set up ATG in 2019, which gave her the autonomy to research, source and programme plays in which she was keen to perform, and those she was eager to direct. This freedom enables her to collaborate with local talented theatre practitioners who she has known and admired for years as well as meeting and working with new ones as part of ATG.
